Team Overdue

Team Brief end of week 4

As training heats up the blisters are showing and i have ruled out a career in hand modelling - I have blisters on blisters… there is still a possibility someone can use me for the before shots though.

We are starting to row longer with fewer breaks and catching fewer crabs. This week we also worked on the timing of the feathering of our blades and when the blades were not squared on time a lovely shower of water would hit the face of Erin and sometimes Kristy. It’s even nicer when you can not reach up and wipe your face because you are trying to keep rowing. It’s all fun though.

We had our second last training in the 8's... All in all it went well except I can still feel the side of the boat and have indentations on my upper legs -(the Cox in the 8's has a very narrow seat to sit in!).

Funny story of the week:
Claudette and Erin were taking Turtle's tinnie down to the water and the tide was out and the ramp slippery. We were turning the tinnie around to dodge the 3 other boats that were just sitting in the water and I slipped over and landed on my backside. The guys putting there boats in all looked around at me as I laughed (mostly to ease my bruised ego) and enquired as to whether I was OK. Claudette and Brett were lucky enough to see the stunt, with Brett making the comment "You will do anything to not row today, won't you". Well it worked as I went in Cox.

Team Overdue.
