Planning for Professional Development Day 2009
JCU Library has hosted a professional development day for local librarians every two years since 2005, so we are due to start planning for PD Day 2009. Support and suggestions are sought from the local library community to help organise the event, and to determine what topics or themes the day should be devoted to. If you can help either with suggestions or planning, (an excellent opportunity to develop your organisational skills), please email Claire at c.ovaska@flightlineservices.com.au or Bronwen at bronwen.forster@jcu.edu.au. Initial possible meeting times are Mondays at 1pm at JCU, or an evening or brunch on Saturday in Cairns at a place to be determined. Please note that Claire will be out-of-the office between Monday 11 May and Tuesday 19 May.
